Welcome!
Great FallsOn February 12th, it was cold. Very cold. We bundled up in snow pants, boots, down jackets, extra hats, and thick gloves and headed out to Riverbend Regional Park for a hike. We had such a great time walking, listening to the waters of the Potomac lap at the shore, birds fluttering around in the water and the wind in the bare trees that we hiked all the way into the neighboring Great Falls National Park! This picture was taken at Great Falls. The point at which the Potomac River builds up speed and force as it falls through the narrow Mather Gorge. |
